Paulette R. Parker, age 74 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born October 3, 1951. She graduated from Rock Falls High School with the class of 1970 and went on to cosmetology school. Paulette married Donald Parker on August 8, 1970.

She did data entry for Newell and Viking Insurance. Paulette also owned her own salon. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church of Freeport where she was also a member of the church choir. She was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 4 Seasons in Freeport. Paulette was also a talented crafter. She especially enjoyed crocheting.

She spent the last several years getting together with her friends for dominos, cards, marbles, and going to craft shows. Most of all she loved time with her family. She never missed a grandkid’s sports game, even traveling all over the country to attend. Friday mornings were spent going to breakfast with her husband, Don and his family. Sunday afternoons were dedicated to backyard kick-ball games with the grandkids. Paulette will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Parker; daughters, Tammy Parker and Tonya Parker; grandchildren, Dakota (Claire) Borman, Dalton Borman, Kyle Borman, Lily Parker, and Jacoby Parker; great grandchildren, Hoyt Borman, Jaxon Borman, River Borman, and Braxton Borman; sister-in-law, Sharon (Ken) Halverson; brother-in-law, Bill Parker; and special friends, Angie Lamm and April Hyde. She was preceded in death by her step-parents, Orville & Della Deets; father-in-law, Howard Parker; and mother-in-law, Lillian Parker.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
