Paulette J. Pfile, age 71 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was born September 9, 1945; the daughter of the late John and Delta Harnish. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. Paulette married Lester W. Pfile on November 13, 1965; he passed on September 7, 2011.

She had been a tax preparer for H&R Block for several years. She was a member of the Freeport Mennonite Church where she was involved in several church organizations. Paulette enjoyed bowling, knitting and crocheting. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Damon (Rebecca) Pfile of Endeavor, WI, Jammie Pfile (Rori Schrader) of Freeport, Leslie (Jim) Stimpert of Cedarville, Christine (Michael) Blair of Stockton; grandchildren Colten, Sean, Sara, Ella, Haddie, Uriah Pfile and Damon Pfile Jr., Amanda and Alax Pfile, Kortni Wong, Cherice, Emmett and Jarid Stimpert, David and Christopher Pfile,  Casi (Damian) Grube, and Morgan Blair; great granddaughters RaeAnna, Zoey, and Harper; great grandsons, Bradon, Bryce, Miguel, and Wyatt; three sisters, Trisha (Allan) Fransen, Diane (LaMoine) DeSpain, and Donna (Joe) Bratley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; brother, Michael Harnish; and sister, Pam Wise.
