Pauline Ruth Yoder, age 95, died peacefully on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at her family's home in her granddaughter's arms. She was born on October 12th, 1926 in Freeport, Illinois. The daughter of Clinton and Louella Brubaker. She was united in marriage to Dale Robert Yoder on June 30th, 1946 in Freeport, IL.

Pauline, known as Polly by her family and friends, was an amazing, loving, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her children, Karon (John) Nettles of North Riverside, IL and Stephen (Joie) Yoder of Tempe, AZ; her grandchildren, Jessica (Lazaro) Garza of Aurora, IL, Braxton Nettles of Willow Springs, IL and Benjamin Yoder of Phoenix, AZ; her great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Samantha, and Cameron.

Polly was the matriarch of the Brubaker family sharing many stories, facts and memories with 3 generations of family. She was agile minded and a shark at games. She is irreplaceable and made the world a better place to all who knew and loved her.

Polly was preceded in death by so many she loved and treasured, her mother Louella who passed when she was just 4 years old; her father, Clinton and stepmother, Lola; as well as her beloved husband of 52 years, Dale; sister, Barbara and brother Max; and stepsibling's from the Peterson and Pettepiece families.

Polly's family would like to thank her special care takers, Ron Bruaker, Robbie Collalti, Wendy Iverson, Samira and Muna.  Your presence was a blessing to Grams.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, IL with Pastor Don Jamerson officiating. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
