Perry L. "Butch" Turner, 55 of Freeport died Monday June 25, 2007 at his sisters home in Freeport. Born on October 9, 1951 in Freeport he was the son of Perry A. and Lois J. (Diddens) Turner. He worked for Sunshine Liquor where he was known as "Elvis", Freeport Blacktop and Economy Ins. Co. Mr. Turner was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed Civil war history, spending time at Peck News Stand and time with his family.
He is survived by 2 sons Shawn (Roxanne) Turner of Freeport, Erich (Heather) Turner of Monroe; 2 daughters Stephanie (Michael) Brashaw, Courtney (Steve) Roderque both of Freeport; 9 grandchildren Aaron, Jessie, Kristy, Kyle Turner of Freeport; Nicole, Shawn, Erica, Kael Turner all of Monroe, Alyson Brashaw of Freeport; one sister Norene K. (John) Farringer of Freeport, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 pm at Walker Mortuary and Cremation services.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday at Walker Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Cremations rites will follow with burial of Cremated remains in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
