Peter R. Smith II, age 46 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He was born May 9, 1978 in Sterling, IL; the son of Peter and Jackie (Camp) Smith. He was a graduate of Tampico High School in Tampico, IL.

Peter worked in marketing and advertising and had been employed at RZ Exteriors. He enjoyed Frisbee golf and playing with his dog, Ollie. He also loved spending time with friends, especially his roommate, Doug.

His family would like to thank Peter's best friend, JoDean and his cousin, Pam for all of their help and support in this difficult time.

He is survived by his parents, Peter & Jackie Smith of Deer Grove, IL; brother, Adam Smith of Dixon, IL; and favorite niece, Zayla. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
