Freeport: Phyllis M. Durham, 80, of Freeport, died Monday March 19, 2007 at Rockford Memorial Hospital Surrounded by her loving family. Born August 29, 1926 in Hanover, IL she was the daughter of George and Lavina (Studier) Feeley. On January 7, 1946 she married Ralph I. Durham. Phyllis enjoyed her "Soaps" doing crossword puzzles, taking trips to the gambling boats and dog track, playing bingo and euchre but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her husband Ralph of 61 years her five daughters, Frances Cooper of Freeport, Katie (Dennis) Recoy of Rockford, Pamela (Saul) Pacheco of McAllen, TX Lynette (Gerald) Aurand of Loran and Marcia (Jack Yoder) Hepler of Freeport. Two sons, Bernard (Laura) Durham and Mark Durham both of Freeport, 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also her dear brother Francis (Betty) Feeley of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Walter Durham and one daughter Phyllis Pals. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Cremation rites will follow the service. A memorial has been established in her name.
