Freeport: Ralph E. Meyers, 72, of Freeport, died Friday January 16, 2004 at the Pleasant View nursing home in Monroe, WI.
Born February 11, 1931 in Freeport, he was the son of Steven and Marie (Hodapp) Meyers. On November 21, 1951 he married Carol E. Wagner in Freeport.
He was a lifetime member of Union Local 150 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for various companies in the area.
Surviving is his wife, Carol E. Meyers of Freeport; one daughter, Beth Meyers and her husband, Joseph Summers of Silverthorne, Colorado; one son, Mark (Jean) Meyers of Ridott; one granddaughter, Megan Griffiths of Denver, CO; six brothers, Richard (Norma) Meyers, Jim (Mary) Meyers and Steven (Diane) Meyers all of Freeport, Eugene Meyers and Robert Meyers of Rockford and Dennis (Carol) Meyers of Cedarville; one sister, Suzanne (Bill) Gallagher of Freeport.
His parents preceded him in death.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established in his name.
