Freeport – Ramona J. Kryder, 93 passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2021.  She was born on August 26, 1928 in Lena, Illinois to the late Milton and Flossie (Dunaway) Liphart.  She was a graduate of the class of 1946 in Pearl City, IL. She married Paul Kryder on May 17 ^th , 1950 in Freeport at the Main St. EUB church.  Together they raised a family.  He passed away on August 13, 2006.

She worked at WT Rawleigh company in the office area as well as JC Penney and the Freeport Jr. High School as an aide/secretary in the English Department and the Special Education Department.

She was a member of the Stephenson County Home Extension Service for 40 years holding various offices. She was an Eastern Star member, a Sunday School teacher for many years and she visited shut-ins from church.

She is survived by her children Steven (Shirley) Kryder of Waukesha, WI; Sally Anderson of Freeport; sisters Bonnie(Jan) Lawfer of Freeport, Pat Vanderheyden of Freeport; step-sister, Sharon Knoup of Pearl City;  6 grandchildren Nick, Joe, Ben, Caitie (Pat) Murtagh; Lyndsey (Jason) Samsula; Jake (Bridget McPhee) Anderson and 2 great grandchildren Aubree and Ezra.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul.
