Obituary

Freeport – Randall L. Kint, 67 of Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 9th.  He was born on February 28,1956, in Belvidere, IL to Glenn and Norma (Clark) Kint.  In 2003, he met and married the love of his life, Cheryl (Cherie), where they met at a singles dance. They were married for almost 20 years and together they built a wonderful and blessed life together.

Randy enjoyed many things in life.  His passions were golf, playing guitar and the harmonica for  private and public venues, chess; where he won many tournament first place trophies.  He was a huge fan of the ALL the Chicago teams.  Randy was an avid Harley rider for many years and made several trips to Sturgis with wife Cherie and friends. (Special mention to Rory Bardell, being a good friend and fellow Harley enthusiast who provided a place to hang the helmets) Randy's number one fans of all time were his two beloved Springer Spaniels, Rizzo and Spicer. They brought him so much joy, and they miss him to pieces.   Randy had a dry sense of humor and was soft spoken and occasionally wrote meaningful poetry.   He loved food and started a mission to perfect his special recipe & technique of grilling ribs for his family and friends to enjoy; and was successful.  He was a faithful member of Martintown Community Church of Martintown, WI, where he served as an Elder on the church board. He then developed a passion to learn about the Lord, and then began a journey which developed into a deep sense of belief, love and faith through that.

He is survived by wife Cherie, of Freeport, his mother, Norma Kint of Belvidere; beloved sons and their spouses, Scott ( Mary) Tessendorf of Palo, IA; John ( Laura ) Tessendorf, Midland, TX; Rich (Julie) Tessendorf of Warren and daughter Alicia (Lynn) Tessendorf of Freeport also 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.   He also leaves behind sisters, Christine Coppernoll of Belvidere and Linda Brohaugh of Rockford; as well as several nieces and nephews plus loving aunts and uncles.   He is preceded in death by his father and his sister, Brenda Kint.

There will be a church and family led visitation on Saturday, July 15th from 9-11am followed by a memorial service at 11am all at Martintown Community Church in Martintown, officiated by Pastor Kevin Cernek.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.  A memorial has been established for the Martintown Community Church.
