Ray Edward Wheeler, 57 of Baileyville, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his home.
Born February 21, 1956 in Dixon he was the son of Kenneth and Goldie (Cross) Wheeler.
He was a graduate of Forreston High School and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Morris.
He enjoyed going to auctions and various sales and working on his 1955 Chevy.
Surviving are his mother of Baileyville, two sons Jakob (Rachel) Wheeler of Oregon, WI, Austin Wheeler of Rock Falls; granddaughter Lydia Raye Wheeler of Oregon, WI; sister Colleen (Gary) Pell of Phoenix, AZ; four brothers Kenneth (Cathy) Wheeler Jr. of Freeport, Gary, Larry and Billy Wheeler all of Baileyville; uncle Gene (Bernadine) Cross of Lanark; three aunts Shirley (Sid) Bender of Baraboo, WI, Connie Cross of Dixon, Elaine Cross of Freeport; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, brother Jerry, two uncles Donald Cross and Maynard Cross.
A celebration of life gathering will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Baileyville Reformed Church in Baileyville. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of remains will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Freeport.
A memorial has been established in his name.
