Raymond L. Kluck, age 76, of Davis, IL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 18, 2017 while visiting family in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born on August 14, 1940 in Pearl City, IL. Ray was the son of Dale and Virginia (Akins) Kluck. He attended Lena schools. He married Dora Thomann on January 19, 1963 in Cedarville, IL. Ray and Dora farmed and raised their children near Dakota, IL., from 1966 to 1991 when they moved to Lake Summerset. Ray was a volunteer fireman for many years and also worked as an electrician. He was a member of Indian Grove Country Church, Rock City, IL.

He enjoyed many fun times at their self-built pool on the farm with family and friends. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, especially fishing trips to Canada, vacationing with his family in Door County, WI as well as trips to Switzerland with his wife and most recently traveling to Florida where he was able to fish in the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed going to his coffee shop (Farmer's Roost Club) in Dakota, playing Euchre with his friends, spending time with his family especially during the holidays and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life wife Dora, three children, daughter Deborah (Joel) Jansen, Monroe, WI/Ft. Myers, FL, two sons Jeffrey, Rock City, IL and Daniel, Freeport, IL; grandchildren John (Anna) Hartman, Michael Gunday, Benjamin Jansen (Samantha), William (Sherry) Jansen, Katie Jansen, Daniel (Jennifer) Jansen, Carah (Timothy) Cropper, Viola, Daely, Aaron, and Katelyn Kluck; great-grandchildren Serena, Elianna, Emily, Eli, Preston, Mason, Lexi, Hunter and Seth; two brothers Delbert (Janna) Kluck, Donald (Janet) Kluck, mother-in-law Gertrude (Trudi) Thomann, two brothers-in-law- Walter (Cynthia) Thomann and Paul (Stacy) Thomann as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Janice and Jacqueline, brother Marsden, sister-in-law Sandra,and father-in-law Albert Thomann.

Visitation will be at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota, IL from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The funeral service will be at 10 am on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Indian Grove Country Church, Rock City, IL with Pastor Ralph Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Interment will be at a later date.
