Raymond G. Luy, 55, of Freeport, died Monday, November 5, 2007, at his home.
Born May 7, 1952 in Freeport he was the son of George and Donna (Schultz) Luy.
He worked for Kelly Springfield Tire Company for 25 years and for the last two years for the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Surviving is his mother, Donna Oudekerk of Freeport; his father, George of Freeport; one sister, Christine Luy of Janesville, Wisconsin; one brother, Micheal Luy of Early, Iowa; 4 nieces; 6 nephews; 3 great nieces; and 1 great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one sister, Cathy L. King.
Funeral service will be Friday 1:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Klehm Arboretum in Rockford.
