Obituary
Raymond C. Squires Jr., age 78 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born October 1, 1940; the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Seitz) Squires Sr. He married Miriam Kahly on December 14, 1968.
Raymond served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a mechanic for the Auto Clinic. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars and going to races. He also enjoyed fishing and tractor pulls.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Squires of Freeport; children, Johnnie (Judy) Squires of Tomahawk, WI, Sherrie Schweder of Sioux City, IA, and Terry Squires of Gotham, WI; grandchildren: Zachary, Danielle & Jeremiah Squires of Tomahawk, WI; Ethan Squires of Dix, IL; Dominic Schweder of Sioux Falls, SD; Kaley Schweder of Johnston, IA; and Cameron Schweder of Sioux City, IA; great grandchildren, Riley Ray & Amelia Squires of Tomahawk, WI; and sisters, Mary Otto of Florence Station, IL and Charlotte Dibbles of Spring Green, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Glen Otto.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 4 th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. The funeral service will be Friday, October 5 th at 2:00 p.m. also at Walker Mortuary. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name.Services
