Richard A. Alexander , age 72 of Rock City, IL, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family on September 30, 2023 after a brief illness.

Born on February 5, 1951 in Charleston, SC to Jesse and Barbara Alexander; Richard grew up in Poplar Grove, IL graduating from North Boone High School.

Richard went on to get advanced degrees in social work from NIU and Aurora University after proudly serving his country in the 1st Calvary Division of the Army.

Richard spent his free time with his family, enjoying the country life, listening to music, watching the news, and reading.

Richard was survived by his wife, Pam; children: Elizabeth (Brandon) Elmer, Melissa Jendusa, Nick Alexander, and Abby Alexander; beloved grandchildren: Levi & Adam Elmer, Lauren & Sam Jendusa; sister, Vickie Tribble; and several nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Barbara Alexander; brother, Jay Alexander; and sister, Robin Alexander.
