Richard (Dick) E. Green, age 74 of Freeport passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. He was born October 22, 1946; the son of the late William and Arloene (Montague) Green. He was a 1964 graduate of Lanark High School. After high school Richard served in the army and was honorably discharged in 1972. Richard was formerly married to Christina Rosemond (1968).

He was an entrepreneur and started several businesses. From 1994 to 2001, Richard and his son, William ran a company together, Applied Solutions. He tremendously enjoyed traveling with friends and family. He especially enjoyed going to Wisconsin and bringing home bags of apples for his grandkids. He will forever be remembered sitting in his bag chair on the sidelines of soccer games of all ages, especially the games his grandkids played.

Richard is survived by his son, William (Stacy) Green of Freeport and his beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth (Donna) Green of Chadwick, IL and sister, Bonnie Swisher of Sedalia, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald and Ronald; and sister, Connie.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5 ^th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com .
