Richard "Dick" Jahnke, born August 12, 1927, passed away on July 13, 2017 at the age of 89. He was a resident of Chicago, Northbrook, Itasca, Stockton and Freeport. Richard grew up in the city and served in the Korean War. Upon retiring from M&M Mars Candy Co. and his own landscaping business, he took a gamble and bought a farm with 20 head of cattle and became a farmer. He is survived by his three children, Scott (Debbie), Wendy, and Lynn (Bill); three grandchildren, Matthew, William, and Garrett; great grandchild, Ellie; sister, Joanne; nieces, Pam, Cheryl, Donna, and Karen; and nephew, Ron.
