Freeport: Richard E. "Rick" Stewart, 51 of Freeport passed away peacefully Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his home. Born February 15, 1959 in Rockford, IL he was the son of Frederick E. Sr. and Dorothy F. (Baal) Stewart. Rick worked at Honeywell and various car dealerships for many years and was currently employed at Cars R Us. He was and avid Dale Earnhardt and Chicago Bear fan and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Stewart of Freeport; 2 daughters Heather Stewart of Champaign, IL and Shannon Stewart of Freeport; 2 Sons, Cody Stewart and Jeremy Stewart both of Freeport; 2 grandsons, D'Andre Allen and Jaxon Strohacker; 2 sisters, Donna (Wayne) Woodly and Linda (Dave) Van Matre both of Freeport; 3 brothers, Frederick (Barb) Stewart Jr. of Rock City, Robert (Marlene) Stewart Sr. of Cedarville and Kenneth (Dawn) Stewart of Longview, TX; Many nieces and nephews; Ex-wife and friend, Julene Stewart of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Stewart Sr., Sister, Barbara Stewart and Grandson, Jordan Lameyer.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Walker Mortuary, Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation will be Monday From 4-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
