Obituary
Richard Allen Steele, 74, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Freeport, died Monday, June 10, 2013 in Atlanta, GA.
Born October 28, 1938 in Freeport he was the son of Donald and Bessie (Brick) Steele.
He owned and operated Steele Construction until his retirement.
Surviving are his former wife, Sue Steele of Freeport; his children, Kelly (Chris) Steele of Deer Park, New York; Mark (Deana) Steele, Brian (Tammy) Steele and Douglas (Stephanie) Steele all of Freeport; his grandchildren, Candace (Matt) Simpson, Cory, Samantha, Tawny, Christopher, Savanna and Colton Steele; his great grandchildren, Max, Grayson, and Katie; sisters in-law, Suellen Steele and Pat Steele both of Freeport; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Steele.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Walker Mortuary.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Walker Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
