Robert A. Dame, 93, of Freeport, died July 22, 2014, at Liberty Village in Freeport.
Born January 6, 1921 in Freeport he was the son of James and Ida (Below) Dame. He married Lorraine Fletcher November 23, 1944 in Freeport at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Robert worked for Coke-Cola, Kraft Foods, Fairbanks Morse, and Honeywell Micro Switch for 32 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing cards.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine of Freeport; one daughter, Carol Sue (Dennis) Howe of Freeport; three sons, William (Jeanne) Dame of Kerrville, Texas, Frederick (Tammy) Dame of Marion, Iowa, and Gary Dame of San Francisco, California; two grandsons, Kevin (Stacey) Howe of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Kyle Dame of Marion, Iowa; one granddaughter, Kallia Dame of Marion, Iowa; one great-great grandson, Tyler Howe of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; two brothers, Joseph (Virginia) Dame of Freeport, Illinois and Royal Dame of Sierra Vista, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Almeda Samuelson and Eunice Homan; two brothers, Karl Dame and James Dame.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Dr. Willis Schwichtenberg officiating.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
