Robert Keith

Robert W. Keith passed away May 13th, 2026 at his home. He was born November 10th, 1947 to Fred (Fritz) and Adele (Share) Keith in Freeport, IL.

He married Patricia Boelk on January 22, 1983 in Freeport, IL. Robert worked at the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office with 33 years of dedicated service.

Bob enjoyed playing pool and bowling. He was a San Francisco 49er’s fan, enjoyed watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies. He was on the First Place Marksman Team with the Illinois Police Association.

Robert is survived by his children, Annette (Gerry Greenfield) Sheriff of Clovis, California and Steve Gollmer of Freeport, IL, 3 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grand Children. He is also survived by 1 Half-Sister, Cheryl (William) Budenz, 1 Sister-In-Law, Sharon Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Robert in death was his wife Patricia, his parents, his half-brother Randall Keith, his half-sister Sandra Keith, his brother-in-law John Thomas, and his dogs Rascal, Keesha, Pooh Bear, Chein, MyLing, Sammy, Taz, and his cats Toby and Sinbad.

Visitation will be held at Walker Mortuary on Saturday, June 13th at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.

A memorial has been established in his name.
