Robert R. LaBudde, 88 of Freeport died Thursday, January 03, 2013 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born May 9, 1924 at Freeport, he was the son of Oscar and Esther (Staas) LaBudde. On September 19, 1953 he and Joan Schubert were united in marriage. Robert was a lifelong farmer in the Cedarville area. He was on the board for the Stephenson County Water and Soil Conservation, member of the Stephenson County Farm Bureau and attended the Cedarville Emmanuel Church. Surviving are his wife Joan of Freeport, three children Craig (Penny) Labudde of Wheaton, Dawn (Larry) Mathiot of Cedarville, Kim (Debbie) LaBudde of Bloomer, WI; six grandchildren Stephanie, Katie LaBudde of Glen Ellyn, Nathan (Sarah) Mathiot of Wheeling, Ryan (Catherine) Mathiot of Chicago, Megan, Joseph LaBudde of Bloomer, WI; one sister Ethel (Chriss) Ascher of Forreston, one brother Paul LaBudde of Freeport, several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers Oscar Jr. and Karl LaBudde. Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 4-7 pm at Walker Mortuary. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Cedarville Emmanuel Church, in Cedarville. Burial will be at the Cedarville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
