Freeport – Robert P. Larson, 91, of Freeport passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.  He was born September 29, 1930 to the late Lloyd and Hazel (Getty) Larson.  After finishing school he enlisted in the Army and served in Korea.  He and Ilene Garland were married on August 6, 1955 in Freeport at St. Mary's church.  He worked at the Belvidere Chrysler plant for 25+ years and retired in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene of Freeport and his daughters, Amy Mullens of Freeport and Dana (Craig) Marshall of West Gardiner, ME.  His legacy also includes 7 grandchildren: Jessica (Adam Dyson) Larson, Jeffery (Ericka) Larson, Jared (April) May, Cassandra May, Trinity, Michael and Natasha Marshall as well as 8 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Christine (The late Robert A. Larson) of Freeport; and brother-in-law, Harold (Mary Ann) Garland of Olympia, WA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Robert A. Larson and Richard Larson. 1 sister, Jean Upshaw and 2 sisters-in-law, Teresa Jones and Jacqueline Schmelzer. 2 brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Liz) Garland and Dan Garland.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will take place on Monday, August 22, at 2pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  A reception will take place starting at 4pm at the Eagles Club of Freeport.
