September 18, 1951 – January 19, 2022
Robert (Bob) Meadows, 70, of South Wayne, Wisconsin passed away January 19, 2022, after battling a post-surgical infection and ultimately succumbing to COVID 19. He passed peacefully into the arms of his loving savior, a destination he had his eyes on for many years and prayed to make it the destination of all he knew and even those he didn't.
Bob was born in Jasper, Alabama to Robert and Dean Meadows on September 18, 1951. They moved to Zion, Illinois in 1964, where he later met his beloved wife, Barb. They retired to South Wayne, Wisconsin in 2015. Bob loved music. He was a professional drummer for many years playing in the Easy Lovin' band and the Ray Austin and the Country Edition band. He performed with Loretta Lynn, Ray Price, Johnny Tillotson, and the Platters, among others. He ultimately retired as a Worship Production Director for First Christian Church in Kenosha, WI.
He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 50 years, his daughters, Krista (Scott) Pfeiffer of Trevor, WI and Stacie (Matt) Barger of McHenry, IL. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Meadows of Jasper, AL, and Shelia (Frank) Berczy of Burlington, WI. His legacy includes two granddaughters, Gabriella and Avriana Pfeiffer, whom he adored greatly. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Bob and Dean Meadows.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Peace Church, 312 E. South St., Browntown, WI, on Monday, January 24 th at 10:30 am. Luncheon to follow. A private burial will be held on January 25 th for immediate family members only.
