Robert C. "Red" Moring, 76, of Cedarville, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born June 14, 1938 in Freeport he was the son of Clarence and Mary (Frisbie) Moring. He married Dolores Cain October 11, 1958 and she died August 31, 1993. He married Phyllis Marian September 24, 1994. He was Buckeye Township Road Commissioner for 16 years. Red was a lifetime farm implement repair person. Work was pleasure to him. He sincerely enjoyed helping people. If he could not purchase a part for his repair then his motto was to make the part himself. He enjoyed a good sense of humor. Red could tease with the best of them. Robert attended Cedarville United Methodist Church in Cedarville. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis of Cedarville; two sons, Bill (Kathy) Moring and Jeff (Paula) Moring both of Freeport; daughter, Dawn (Bill) Crichton of Lena; brother, Richard (Judi) Moring of Freeport; sister, Darlene Endress of Pearl City; five step daughters, Tina Boals of Dakota, Tammy (Brian) Olson of McFarland, Wisconsin, Teresa (Craig) Aspinwall of Freeport, Teri (Dan) Heitkam of Dakota and Tiffany Marian of Freeport; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and his daughter-in-law, Maureen Moring. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Cedarville United Methodist Church. Private burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens prior to the memorial service on Monday. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Walker Mortuary. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
