Robert S. Reeter, 68, of Juda, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, in Monroe, Wisconsin, surrounded by family.
Born June 7, 1957 in Freeport, Illinois, Bob was the son of Harold and Mary Jane Reeter. He graduated from Dakota High School with the Class of 1975. Soon after graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as a Sonar Technician on Submarines from Nov 1975 to Nov 1981. His years in the Navy instilled in him a lifelong sense of pride, discipline, and dedication to service. Following his military service, Bob returned home to a life he loved - farming. He settled in Juda, Wisconsin, where he worked hard, built lasting friendships, and remained deeply connected to his community.
A lifelong supporter of family, friends, and his community, Bob was known for his unwavering enthusiasm for sports and his endless encouragement from the sidelines. He rarely missed a game, proudly cheering on his many nieces and nephews in every sport and season. Whether it was the sound of a whistle, the crack of a bat, or the squeak of sneakers on the gym floor, Bob was there - celebrating every victory, big or small. An avid fan of the Dakota High School Indians, Bob was a fixture on Friday nights as a dedicated member of the football "chain gang," faithfully helping at games for over 30 years. His community spirit left an impression on everyone who knew him.
Bob was known for his kind heart and his playful spirit. He especially loved spending time with children, who were drawn to his easygoing nature and fun-loving personality. Whether he was joking around, playing games, or offering encouragement, Bob had a gift for making kids feel special - and they adored him in return.
He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, telling stories, and sharing his quick wit and easy smile. Bob's kindness, loyalty, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his siblings, John (Kathy) Reeter, Bill Reeter, Sue Gallagher, Lois Reeter, Jane (Gregg) Martz, Karen (Darrell) Kolthoff, Tom (Chris) Reeter. Nieces & Nephews Matt (Heidi) Reeter, Nick (Alyssa) Reeter, Andy (Angela) Reeter, Jenny (Nick) Holmes, Joe (Sasha) Reeter, Erin (Dean) Lotz, Laura (JD) Duncan, Mike (Kellinah) Gallagher, Kyle (Ariel) Martz, Kayla (Majd) Owayed, Kasie (Matt) Ilgen, Alex (Kim) Kolthoff. 24 Great Nieces & Nephews and 2 Great Great Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Jane Reeter and a brother Jim Reeter.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, November 1st from noon to 3pm at Davis Town & Country 412 N Stanton St. Davis, IL. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.walkermortuary.com The family is being assisted by the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home of Dakota, IL.
