Robert A. Schadewalt, 51, of Freeport, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at his home.
Born March 13, 1959 in Freeport he was the son of Allen and Sharon E. (Spahn) Schadewalt. He married Sandra Willhite September 5, 1986.
He was the Maintenance Supervisor at Westport Village working there for over 30 years.
Bob loved the outdoors and was a huge NASCAR fan.
Surviving is his wife, Sandra; his mother, Sharon E. Maher his son Jason (Carrie) Schadewalt; his granddaughter, Addison Schadewalt; his sister, Robin (Robert) Koester; all of Freeport; his brother, Robert (Lorie) Maher Jr. of Elgin; several step brothers; step sisters; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; his aunt, Barbara Fransen; and step brother, Nathan Springer.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be a gathering for family and friends Wednesday, November, 17, 2010 at Walker Mortuary from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
