Robert L. Snyder, age 80 of Freeport, IL, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 surrounded by his family and with his beloved dog, Beau at his side. He was born in Hyde, PA; the son of the late Ralph & Virginia Snyder.

Bob served in the United States Army, 101 ^st Airborne, as a paratrooper stationed at Fort Benning, GA. After his service, he was an over the road truck driver for many years. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved riding his Harley with his wife, DeAnna; going raccoon hunting with his daughter, Tammy; and boating with his grandkids. Above all else, Bob loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, DeAnna Snyder of Freeport; daughter, Tammy (Dwayne) Sager of Belleville, IL; grandkids, Nacole Griffin, Gregory Griffin, and Michael Griffin; great grandkids, Dominic, Hailey, Jaeden, Devon, Michael Jr., and Maison; sisters, Barbara Milligan, Shelby Wilson, and Mary (Joe) Kline; brother, Dennis (Jennifer) Snyder, John (Becky) Snyder, and Jerry (Nancy) Snyder; sister-in-laws, Candy (Deed) Rice, Susie (Mike) Haynes, and Jane Oknow; Brother-in-laws, Wayne (Brenda) Crowell and Bobby Burdette; and several nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas and Richard; and sister-in-law, Sharon.
