Freeport-Robert E. Stake, 74, of Freeport, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at his home.
Born January 9, 1932 in Freeport he was the son of Bernard and Marie (Hildebrandt) Stake. He married Doris Roberts April 10, 1954 and she died November 6, 1999.
He worked for Micro Switch for 42 years retiring in 1991.
Surviving is his son, Gregory (Angela) Stake of Mt. Morris; his daughter, Melanie (Dale) Hull of Cedarville; his brother, James (Lola) Stake of Florida; 6 grandchildren.
His parents; wife; and 2 brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church Officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
