Robert R. Veer

Robert Richard Veer age 75 passed on August 9, 2026. He was born August 17, 1950 in Freeport to Franklin (Frank) and Norma Jean (Moler) Veer. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1970.

He was married to Dena Winters from 1973 to 1989. He married Debra Lloyd on Feb 14, 2004.

He worked at Burgess Battery, Ardee Manufacturing, Quality House Furniture Store, Wagners Office Supply, Helsley Supply, Newell, and Walmart.

He is survived by his wife, Debra of Orangeville; step-mother, Sharon "Sheri" Veer. Son, Brian Veer, granddaughters Haley, Hannah, and Hillary and great granddaughter Cali Holloway all of Freeport. Daughter, Sara (Richard) Wunschell, granddaughters Megan, Allison, Sydney, and Kaelie Wunschel all of Monroe. Brothers, Donald (Doc) ( Stephanie), David (Dave) Veer all of Freeport, Michael (Mike) Veer of Hillsborough Oregon, Dr. Franklin “Frankie” (Tami) Veer Jr. of Joplin Missouri. Sister Pamela Star (Patrick) Dunlavay of Lanark. Step brother Rick (Sherry) Gordon of Freeport. Many Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents, parents and baby sister Cindy.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held on August 29, 2026 at First Church of the Open Bible 3800 Stephenson Road, Freeport. Visitation at 10:00, Service at 11:00 and a lunch to follow.
