Rodger F. Hainke left this world to meet with his Savior on Friday, October 28, 2011. Born March 25, 1923 in Harlem Township he was the son of Fred and Grace (Pearson) Hainke. He was a graduate of Freeport High School in the class of 1941, and then began his work career with Arcade Manufacturing Company. It was there that he met his future wife, Joanne A. Morrow and they were united in marriage on December 21, 1946. Among his many places of employment were the Freeport Journal Standard delivering newspapers by motorcycle, Structo Manufacturing, Barnes Drill in Rockford and Fairbanks Morse in Freeport. For three years he served with the United Sates Army during WWII in military campaigns throughout the South Pacific. Surviving are his 2 sons Ronald E. (Mai) Hainke of Boise, Idaho, Dennis A. Hainke of Rockford; three grandchildren Dawn (Aaron) Irons, of Middleton, Idaho, Ronald G. (Debbie) Hainke of Middleton, Idaho, Stewart Hainke of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren Adam and Ashley Irons, Bailey, Jordan, Jayden, Ciera Hainke; brother James Hainke of Stockton. Preceding him in death are his parents, one brother Marvin and his wife Joanne.
