Rodney Miller, age 62, of Orangeville, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his children, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born on January 8, 1963, in Rockford, Illinois, to Russell and Mary (Hevrin) Miller.

Rodney graduated from Dakota Junior/Senior High School in 1981 and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1989. He was known for his creativity and hands-on talents, enjoying time spent tinkering with model rockets and RC cars, fishing with his grandchildren, and painting cars and tractors for friends and family. Rodney also cherished the many nights in the garage spent with his loyal dog and best friend, T-Bone.

He is survived by his four children: Clarissa (John) Metz of Davis, Illinois; Ryan (Rachel) Miller of Elkhorn, Nebraska; Savanna (Kevin) Moore of Montello, Wisconsin; and Destiny Miller (Anthony Binns) of Rock City, Illinois. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and his four brothers: Russell (Ginny) Miller of Davis, Illinois; Randy (Stacy) Miller of Woodbine, Illinois; Ricky (Dawn) Miller of Freeport, Illinois; and Rob (Lisa) Miller of Orangeville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, Kyler Moore.

There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, April 25th at Rock City Cemetery at 10am.  Following the graveside service there will be a celebration of life held the same day at Davis Hall, Davis, Illinois from 11:30am-1:30pm.
