Obituary
Roger I. Gross, 72, of Freeport, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born July 27, 1940 in Stephenson County he was the son of Kenneth and Mary (Barker) Gross. He married Sharon L. Siegmeier June 30, 1962.
Roger worked at Siegmeier Mobil with his father in-law for 10 years and Anchor Harvey for 25 years.
His memberships include Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving is his wife, Sharon; two sons; Timothy (Laura) Gross and Scott (Alicia) Gross all of Freeport; one sister, Arlene (Virgil) Rayhorn of Alabama; one brother, Kenneth (Pat) Gross of Freeport; three grandchildren, Bryttani, and Brycelin Gross and Josh Kuelling all of Freeport; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Marilyn Rhodes.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
