Beloved father and husband, Roger E. Smull of Freeport passed away on January 4, 2010 at 7:50 p.m.
Born June 11, 1949 in Freeport he was the son of Gerald and Geraldine (Pfile) Smull.
Roger worked for Alex Steenrod and Peter Holms at Spotless Image Car Wash for over 32 years. He then worked at Shopko as a day time maintenance man. He was presently working for Wal-Mart for 7 years.
Roger was a very loved man by many family members and lots of friends. He was known to be a man with a loving heart who enjoyed life, spending time with loved ones, and working towards a better tomorrow. He enjoyed fishing with his family and longtime friends, Arine Curler and Eddie Raih.
He is survived by his wife, Debra (Blunt) Smull of Freeport, 1 son, John Smull, 1 daughter, Melissa Smull, 2 sisters, Sharon Kampen and Karen Francen all of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 uncle, Curt Wise and his father in-law, Robert Blunt
Funeral service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in his name.
