Roland C. F. Krusey, 93 of German Valley died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Manor Court Freeport with family by his side. Born September 24, 1919 in Lima Township he was the son of Charles and Fannie (Kielman) Krusey. On October 19, 1950 he married Clara Kampman in Pella Iowa.
Roland and Clara farmed all of their lives on the family farm in German Valley, and retired in 1994, but stayed on the farm. Roland was a member of the German Valley Silver Creek Reformed Church where he served on the Consistory.
He is survived by four sons, Charles (Jolene) Krusey of Parkersburg, IA, Ronald (Eileen) Krusey of Ackley, IA, Justin (Cathy) Krusey of German Valley and David (Pat) Krusey of Freeport; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Williams of Pecatonica.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and seven sisters.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the German Valley Silver Creek Reformed Church with the Reverend Randall Knoll officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the German Valley Silver Creek Reformed Church.
