Ronald L. Baker, age 80 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1941; the son of the late Vern and Helen (Kettelhut) Baker. He married Linda Rowe in February 21, 1965.

Ronald served in the United States Army Reserves. He worked at Chrysler for 30 years, retiring in 1998. After retiring from Chrysler, Ron continued to run Baker Brothers Used Cars until 2011. He enjoyed fishing and collecting Buddy L. Toys. Ronald was always there for his family and will be remembered as a cheerful person who could talk with any one.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Baker of Freeport; son, Rodney (Shirley) Baker of Durand, IL; granddaughter, Jamie (Anthony) Stevens of Toledo, OH; great grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Olivia, and Michael; brothers, Raymond Baker of Freeport and Greg Baker of Montana; nieces and nephews; and his cat. Pepper. He was preceded in death by his parents.
