Freeport: Ron L. Cashman 53, died Saturday March 6, 2004. Born February 12, 1951 in Dixon, IL he was the son of Robert and June (Boeke) Cashman. Ron worked for Woodward Governor in Rockford. Earlier careers also included work for Ridott Township and farming. He was a graduate of Freeport High School class of 1969. He was a collector of many things, among his favorites were antiques and Massy Harris tractors (real and toy). He loved to hunt, was an avid NASCAR fan and real overall auto enthusiast. Surviving is his Mother June Cashman of Freeport, one son Aaron (Jennifer) Cashman of Pecatonica, one sister Laurie Cashman of Freeport, one brother, Gary (Rosemarie) Cashman of Glendale, AZ. Two grandchildren Austin Cashman and Lainey Cashman both of Pecatonica. His best friend Roseanne Hoffmann of Davis and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Thursday at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Carlton Easley officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden.
