Ronald George Cox, 72, of Cedarville, died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born April 2, 1936 in Freeport he was the son of George H. and Myra H. (Raisbeck) Cox. He married Duane K. Wagner April 6, 1958.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the Western University.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church.
Ron was a Design Engineer Working for Micro Switch for 41 years retiring in 1995.
An avid golfer he had attained 4 holes in one.
Surviving is his wife, Duane of Cedarville; 2 sons, Bradley G. (Dale A.) Cox of Naperville and Geoffrey S. (Jennifer L.) Cox of Stockton; 4 grandchildren, Wesley S. Cox, Dillian B. Cox, Logan J. Cox, and Kirsten P. Cox; 1 step grandchild, Abigail E. Lloyd; 1 brother, Dr. Wendell A. (Marsha) Cox of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial services will be Monday 10:30 a.m. at Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church with Reverend Jack Ward officiating.
Interment of his cremated remains will be in the Cedarville Cemetery in Cedarville.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church.
