Iowa City, Iowa- Ronald Dickinson, 73, of Iowa City, Iowa, formerly of Freeport, died Thursday December 25, 2003 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Born April 2, 1930 in Freeport he was the son of Virgil and Eleanor (Stout) Dickinson. He married Eileen Hull June 1, 1951 and she preceded him in death.
He worked at the Modern Plating Company in Freeport.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the V.F.W.
Surviving is his son, Dennis (Leah) Dickinson of Mesa, Arizona; his stepmother, Frances Dickinson of Freeport; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Donna M. Dickinson.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be Saturday 1:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Joseph A. Warner of Orangeville United Methodist Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Interment of his cremated remains will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
A memorial has been established in his name.
