Ronald "Ron" E. Stabenow, age 60 of Ridott, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born August 21, 1959 to Howard and Lorraine (Cummins) Stabenow. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1977. Ron married Wendy Ludewig on March 7, 1987.

He worked for Honeywell for 23 years. In 1998 he started a part time business, Nuisance Animal Removal, which became a full time business in 2002. Ron was a member of FTA for most of his life. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to raccoon hunt and fur trap which he did until he was unable to. He also enjoyed spending time with his German Shepherds. Ron had a great sense of humor, joking and teasing with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Stabenow; mother, Lorraine Stabenow; brothers, Rick (Rose) Bear and Randy (Carol) Stabenow; sister, Renee Edler; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Albert and Sadie (Homan) Cummins; paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Nancy (McQuerry) Stabenow.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedarville Emmanuel Church in Cedarville, IL with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the Cedarville Cemetery.
