Freeport-Ronald Krueger, 75, of Freeport, died Thursday, August 30, 2007, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 10, 1931 in Freeport he was the son of Edward and Elda (Hill) Krueger. He married Naomi Adams on June 21, 1952 having just celebrated 55 years of marriage.
He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving as an elder for many years.
He retired from being a member of the Plumbers Local 23 for 41 years.
Ronald enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing cards, watching sports, fishing, hunting, and dancing to county music.
Surviving is his wife, Naomi of Freeport; one son, Wayne (Jo Ellen) Krueger of Stillman Valley; one daughter, Pamela Crase of Freeport; 4 granddaughters, Andrea Crase at home, Kimberly (James) Waymack of Springfield, Katie Janssen of Woodridge, Sarah Krueger and her fiancé Eric Fender of Seward; one sister, Corinne (Richard) Carey of Janesville, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Willis Schwichtenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 12 noon until time of service at the church
