Rosali Cosgrove, age 91 of Freeport, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Manor Court in Freeport. She was born April 26, 1926 in Switzerland; the daughter of the late Willi and Rosa (Huber) Locher. She graduated from Freeport High School. Rosali married Clement A. Cosgrove on October 26, 1946; he died January 15, 1985.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Freeport. She loved working and held many different jobs in the Freeport area, working until the age of 89. Her passion was walking and she also enjoyed fishing, dancing and playing euchre. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband on Lake Wisconsin. She especially loved spending time with her grandson and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Robert) Hoggatt of Freeport; son, Don (Sally) Cosgrove of Flordia; grandson, Brad (Jennifer) Hoggatt of Kansas; great grandchildren, Sam, Caroline & Molly; step-grandchildren, Todd and Scott Fuchs; and step-great granddaughter, Kayla Fuchs. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clement.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 17th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com
