Dakota - Rose K. Reeter, 88 of Dakota passed away at home with her family at her side on Friday, January 14th, 2022. She was born April 22, 1933 in Freeport to the late Elmer and Della (Bingham) Hybarger. She married Donald Reeter on December 3, 1950. He passed away in 2010
Rose loved to paint, bird watch, play euchre and Sequence. She loved to travel to AZ and the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club was a big part of her life. She was the Antique Engine Club queen in 1983. She was also known as "Doc" because she could fix almost any injury as the kids were growing up.
She is survived by her children, Don Reeter of Apache Junction, AZ; Cathy (Dennis) White of Dakota; Carol Swalve of Freeport; Nancy (Fred) Thruman of Freeport; Elaine (Kim) Hammer of Kent, IL as well as her brother, Elmer (Nancy) Hybarger, Jr., of Lena. Her legacy also includes 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, George Reeter; sisters, Betty Kraft, Edith Sutterlin, Norma Marshall, Dorothy Broge and her brother, Walter Hybarger. Also preceding her are an infant grandson as well as grandson, James Fuchs and Great Grandsons, Dylan Edge and Hunter Morgan.
Her visitation will be on Thursday, January 20th beginning at 10:30am at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota, with a service immediately following at 11:30am. Her final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens next to her husband.
