Ruth E. Baumgartner, 93, of Freeport, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Freeport Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Born January 27, 1919 in Mt. Carroll she was the daughter of Walter and Pauline (Clay) Staas. She married Earl R. Baumgartner December 24, 1952 and he died August 29, 2008.
Ruth worked with her husband on the farm, was a nurse's aide for Deaconess Hospital, and worked at Micro Switch retiring in 1981.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Dianna (Tony) Jacobs of Freeport, Kathy (Larry) Bohnert of Monroe, Wisconsin, and Connie Marsh of Freeport; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her sister in-law, Vivian Staas of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother, Delbert Staas; and her son in-law, Willard "Rod" Marsh.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Walker Mortuary with Pastor Steve Owen of Liberty Baptist Church in Monroe, Wisconsin officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for FHN Memorial Hospice.
