Ruth M. Bennehoff, 88, of Freeport, died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born September 1, 1919 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Walter and Anna (Lauer) Albertson. She married George W. Bennehoff September 19, 1942 in Milwaukee and he died December 21, 1998 in Mount Carroll.
Earlier in life she was a ballroom dance instructor for Arthur Murray Studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked for the Freeport Catholic School System and Freeport High School until her retirement.
An avid seamstress and homemaker she loved her dogs.
Surviving are her children, Bonnie (Kevin) Ross and John W. (Paula) Bennehoff both of Freeport; three grandchildren, Wesley Bennehoff and Jason (Demetria Benson) Becker both of Freeport, Kim (Jess) Stamm of Orangeville; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan and Dawson Stamm, Jaylah and Javonna Becker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 1 brother.

Funeral service will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Msgr. P. William McDonnell officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be a prayer service.
