Freeport: Ruth E. Frisbie, 91 passed away Monday January 24, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport after a short illness. She had suffered from Alzheimer's for a period of five years. She was born March 30, 1913, the daughter of Charles G. and Anna E. (Gross) Mohr. On March 20, 1938 she married Paul L. Frisbie and he passed away on April 23, 1972. Ruth was a lifelong Freeport resident who worked for years first at Moogks Drug Store and later primarily as a pharmacy technician at Emmert's Drug Store. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Throughout her life, but particularly in the last 20 years she has loved her gardening. She enjoyed both vegetable garden but absolutely loved her various flowers. They gave her endless hours of enjoyment. Surviving is one son James Frisbie, Three nephews, Gary Mohr, Robert Auman, and Ronald Popp. Two nieces, Karleen Mohr and Janice Rawleigh. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her older sister, Dorothy (Vernon) Kleckner, an older brother, Ervin (Nina) Mohr, and two younger sisters, Evelyn (Burdette) Auman and Marian who was married first to Lloyd Popp and after his death to Erhard Steinman. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Freeport, with the Reverend Neville Kretzmann of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum. There will be no visitation. A memorial Scholarship fund will be established in her name for Dakota High School.
