Ruth E. Penniston, 95, of Freeport, died Friday, September 16, 2016, at Pearl Pavilion.
Born February 2, 1921 in Gratiot, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Leo and Bessie (Martin) Gille Sr.
She married Harold Penniston October 8, 1939 and he died in 1997.
Ruth worked for RD Manufacturing, Burgess Battery, Micro Switch, and Fannie May.
Surviving are her children, Norma Piper Miller and James Penniston both of Freeport, and Jan Wilkening of Union Grove, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David; 2 sisters, Dorothy McKenna and Norma Gille; and 1 brother, Leo "Bud" Gille Jr.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
