Obituary
Freeport-Ruth A Kneller, 87, of Freeport, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at the Freeport Rehabilitation & Care Center.
Born July 23, 1916 in Freeport she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Hoppe) Kiefer. She married Joseph Kneller January 28, 1940 in Ottumwa, Iowa and he died in March 28, 1968.
She worked at W.T. Rawleigh, C.H. Little and then Micro Switch retiring in 1981.
Surviving is her son, James Kneller of Freeport; two daughters, Gail Jean (George) Beard of Freeport and June (April) Grammont of West Minster, Maryland; one brother, William Fred Kiefer of Freeport; 6 grandchildren, Debbie (Tom) Derback of West Minster, Maryland, Cheryl Wrenn of Baltimore, Maryland, Melodie (Ken) Berkhout of Simi Valley, Ca, Michael Beard of San Antonio, Texas, Dwight Beard of Freeport, and Brenda (Paul) Wilson of Hammond, Indiana; 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial service will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend John Hollis of the Church officiating.
Internment of her cremated remains will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for FHN Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
