Ruth May Wivelstad, 85 of Beloit, formerly of Freeport, IL died Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Beloit Health and Rehab Center. Born August 6, 1925 in Prairie Du Chien she was the daughter of William and Rexie (Holmes) Picha. She married Clifford Long and then Cliffie Wivelstad both preceding her in death. For many years she worked at Structo, Burgess Battery and Newell. She is survived by one son Gary (Vicki Foreyt) Long of Columbus, WI; granddaughter Lisa Harrison of Orangeville; great granddaughter Kirsten Harrison of Peoria; one brother LeRoy Picha of Bettendorf, IA; sister-in-law Darlene Polhil of Freeport. Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, and one brother Ray. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Chapel of Peace at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Walker Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
