Ruthann F. Hardman, 70, of Freeport, died Sunday, August 20, 2008, at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born February 1, 1938 in Freeport she was the daughter of Albert and Almeda (Brydson) Hird.
She was retired from Micro Switch.
Ruthann was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving is her son, Richie (Kathy) Hardman of Rockford; 1 step grandchild, Megan Dunn of Schaumberg; 4 nieces, Julie Jean Skaggs of Sandy Springs, Georgia, Joanne (Don) Engle, Kathy Barrett, and Cindy Barrett all of Freeport; 2 nephews, Mike Barrett of Freeport and Rick Barrett of Lena.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Jeanette Thomasson and Anita Barrett.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Julie Bent of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday 12 noon until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for FHN Hospice.
