Sandra Iola Elliott, age 80 of Rock City, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. She was born on June 29, 1939; the daughter of the late Clarence and Iola (Bouray) Cazel. She graduated from Muldoon High School in Rockford, IL. Sandra married John C. Elliott on January 31, 1959; he passed on November 11, 1995.

She farmed alongside her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed baking, mowing her yard and tending to her flowers. Sandra also enjoyed time with her friends, playing cards and traveling to Florida for many years. She also enjoyed playing bunco with the neighbors. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Dawn) Elliott of Freeport; daughters, Susan (Gary Moore) Pudwill of Monroe, WI, Janet (Terry) Sturtz of Lanark, IL, and Jamie (Steve) Holman of Freeport; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Terry (Judy) Cazel of Rockford; and sister, Patsy Peters of Winnebago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; granddaughter, Eryn Holman; brothers, Dick and Don; and sisters, Betty and Karen.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7 ^th at 4:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL with a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
